Occasionally, though, a copy of a film that the world thought was gone forever surfaces, and its story is brought back to life. The film was never released but still became a hot topic among movie buffs. It tells the story of a German clown who is forced to lead Jewish children to the gas chamber after he mocks Hitler.
He scrapped every copy and repeatedly claimed that the world would never see it. With so much talk about it, though, the film generated a lot of interest. Many have searched for The Day the Clown Cried to no avail, but eventually, the Library of Congress managed to get a copy.Epson error 100016

Victory of Faith is a propaganda film made by the Nazi party.
It documents the first party rally after the Nazis rose to power in Germany, with half a million attendees. But despite being such a cinematic accomplishment, the film was lost after Hitler himself ordered every copy destroyed. Second only to Hilter in the rally was Ernst Rohm, who would later be personally arrested by Hitler and shot for planning a coup on the infamous Night of the Long Knives. Rohm figures prominently in the film. Because the two were shown on such intimate terms, Hitler ordered the record of their camaraderie erased.

He then learns that his brother did not stick up for himself during his fight with Marcus. Inside is a paper noting certain times from the film. Marty and David watch the unrated movie, which turns out to be so graphic that it makes Marty uncomfortable, knowing his brother uses it for inspiration.
He tells him that if David tells anyone, Steve will kill him. Horrified, David gets sick and his mother takes him home. Steve realizes that his brother knows his secret and confronts him, demanding how much he knows. He threatens Marty to keep quiet and later confesses that he only kills black people out of hatred for their race. He pledges that he would never harm his little brother. You can help by adding to it.But Blair Witch was such a phenomenon—and in its ratio of shoestring cost to enormous earnings, so profitable —that it essentially transformed a cost-efficient gimmick into a genre onto itself.
Of course, not too many of the found-footage flicks from this century are very good. Most of them are, in fact, lousy, the amateur-filmmaker scenario providing convenient cover for uneventful and artless schlock—for movies that look bad and go nowhere on purpose. Ten years after Blair Witch sparked a boom in mock-doc horror, along came a spiritual successor to reenergize the trend: another suggestive, low-budget sensation starring unknown actors pretending to be scared out of their wits.
Tensions escalate when an overnight TV news crew, initially covering the kind of human-interest story that barely counts as news, finds itself trapped in a Barcelona apartment building at the start of, essentially, a zombie outbreak. The [REC] franchise sees a steep decline in quality over the course of its four entries, but the original is taut and often as funny as it is vicious. Narrative justification aside, this more expensive addition to the subgenre aptly tells a big story in a small way, showing how scary and disorienting it would be on the ground during a giant monster attack.Oshun herbs
Abrams turning a lot of its backstory into treasures that had be uncovered through fake websites and ARGs. Re-Animator producer Brian Yuzna once posited that the difference between fantasy and horror is mostly in the lighting. Found-footage horror movies are supposed to feel, above all, real.
It certainly works for Grave Encountersa found-footage horror movie whose effectiveness rests on two pillars: A clever satirical concept, and a visceral sense of immediate-yet-unknown terror. The fear, meanwhile, is primal—and in some cases legitimate, as directors The Vicious Brothers surprised the cast with devilish scares throughout the intense low-budget shoot.
During the initial drive, we witness the odious guys and slightly-less-odious women cover familiar beats for the narrative, including that old chestnut of encountering oddball locals who warn them to get back on the beaten path.
Some rolled their eyes when Barry Levinson, acclaimed director of Diner and Rain Manrevealed he was making a found-footage horror film. Others were curious to see what a little prestige could do for the subgenre. Levinson and writer Michael Wallach piece together footage from iPhones, laptops, security cameras, and TV reports for a narrative that divides its focus among a number of well-drawn characters who represent the various scientific, societal, and governmental factors responsible for the disaster.
Though the first film is more eclectic and stylistically varied, the all-killer, no-filler sequel really runs with the format, each of its segments embracing the mobility, tactility, and limited vantage of lightweight cameras.
Willow Creek will be remembered, though, for the minute single take at its center, during which our heroes wordlessly huddle in their tent in the middle of the night as the woods threaten to crash down around them. It just happens to marry those insights to a squirm-inducing supernatural horror story. So when the pivot happens, it feels all the more cathartic as a payoff for how much time the film has invested in its likable characters, plausible setup, and potent meditation on aging and death.
More horror films, found-footage or no, should work so hard to earn their third acts. The genius of the film—and, to a lesser extent, its solid sequel, Dark Web —is in the way it turns all the digital programs and doohickeys and quirks of modern computing into instruments of horror: system freezes are mined for suspense, chat windows and message boards offer ominous exposition, etc.
Instead, Shyamalan situates his horror in the very identifiable childhood discomfort of being transplanted from the familiar rhythms of home into the weird rules and routines of a distant and often much-older relative. Too often, the dialogue in a found-footage movie is intentionally or unintentionally trite, either designed to sound off-the-cuff or just landing like an afterthought to the jump scares.

The story is familiar: A documentary crew goes missing, and the unedited footage they left behind reveals the horrifying truth behind their disappearance. And while that particular claim has been dismissed, the violence toward animals was sadly not faked. The Last Broadcast walks the line between mockumentary and true found footage.
Ultimately, however, it's as much about the raw footage as it is about the finished product that filmmaker David Leigh David Beard is trying to assemble. A surprising smash hit, The Blair Witch Project brought found footage to the mainstream and demonstrated the undeniable power of the genre. The iconic final scare is unnerving not because of what you see, but because of what you don't. The brutal violence is hard to withstand, but the closeness to the perpetrator is what makes the film so unsettling.
Known as Noroi in Japan, The Curse is also something of a mockumentary.
The 12 Best Found Footage Movies Ever Made, From ‘Blair Witch Project’ to ‘REC’
It's presented as the footage from filmmaker Masafumi Kobayashi Jin Murakia paranormal investigator who disappeared while making his latest film, The Curse. Again: meta. Because of the nature of these intrusive cameras, the audience becomes complicit in the stalking, watching Amy in her most intimate moments, without her consent. It's fiction, of course, but it's uncomfortable all the same. The found footage zombie movie became a mini-genre of its own with [REC]which led to several sequels, an American remake the less effective Quarantineand even a George Romero attempt at the same.
More on that below. And then it all goes to hell. It's simple, straightforward, and scary, which is more than can be said about much of its competition. OK, this isn't Night of the Living Dead. But let's be fair, George A. Romero is operating under an entirely different framework. As far as his experiment with found footage goes, Diary of the Dead does have its moments. It's also, naturally, the most meta of Romero's zombie films, gamely reflecting on the ever-shifting genre. As a result, the film has developed a cult following.
In fact, being hard to find only increases the appeal of found footage horror, which should feel like the kind of thing you watch on old VHS tapes found in someone's basement. Cloverfield is more sci-fi monster movie than horror, but it's scary enough to qualify for inclusion here. The found footage technique works to the film's advantage by keeping the focus on the individuals running from the monster rather than on the monster itself.
That's especially useful here because the monster isn't all that impressive. It's a different, more intimate kind of monster movie, and one that ultimately feels more realistic than your typical Godzilla story.

There is something inherently creepy about home movies, which is what the aptly titled Home Movie taps into. As is the case with so many real home movies, the footage on display here subverts the idea of a perfect family — there is something very wrong happening just under the surface.
Evil Things is allegedly the lost footage from a group of young people who went missing. But while the conceit is not all that original, the execution is fairly harrowing.
